The Point of Grace gals has also released five excellent Christmas albums, bringing holiday joy into our homes in 1999, 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2013. These ladies love Christmas and their passionate delivery of well-known carols, as well as some new songs, shows us just how much. Here are our 10 favorites, in no particular order. "Not That Far From Bethlehem" Sony We're not that far from BethlehemHere all our hope and joy beginsFor in our arms we'll cherish himWe're not that far, not that far from Bethlehem Everything you love about Point of Grace can be found in this beautiful tune—perfect delivery and harmony that will bring tears to your eyes. This song gives you a peaceful feeling that you will carry for the rest of the day. "Jingle Bells" Word Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh Big band type fun is what the ladies give us with their version of the Christmas classic "O Holy Night" Word Truly He taught us to love one anotherHis law is love and His gospel is peaceChains shall He break for the slave is our brotherAnd in His name all oppression shall cease Those wonderful voices and a harp—it just doesn't get any better than this, folks. "All Is Well" All is well all is well Let there be peace on earthChrist is come go and tellThat He is in the mangerSing A-leSing Alleluia Michael W. Smith joins the ladies on piano and his talent on the keys combined with Heather Payne's breathless delivery make for pure Christmas magic. "Angels We Have Heard On High" Word Come to Bethlehem and seeHim whose birth the angels sing;Come, adore on bended kneeChrist, the lord, the new-born king. Summing up Point of Grace's version of "Angels We Have Heard On High" in one word ... simply glorious! (Okay, maybe that was two words, but you get the point.) Sounding as though they were joined by a group of angels, Point of Grace delivers majesty and the magic of the season, all rolled up into one neat package. "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" Word He sees you when you're sleepingHe knows when you're awakeHe knows if you've been bad or goodSo be good for goodness sake! More big band sound is what you get on this incredibly fun version of the Christmas classic. "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow/Sleigh Ride" Word It doesn't show signs of stoppingAnd I've bought some corn for poppingThe lights are turned way down lowLet It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Two wonderful carols are done in a truly stunning way. The Point of Grace crew truly outdid themselves on their combined version of these two classic carols. "Breath Of Heaven (Mary's Song)" Breath of Heaven, hold me together, be forever near me,Breath of HeavenBreath of Heaven, lighten my darkness, pour over me Your holinessFor You are holyBreath of Heaven This is a beautiful tribute to Mary with harmonies so tight they could crack the walnuts you'll inevitably be using in your holiday baking. "Tennessee Christmas" Word Another tender Tennessee Christmas, the only Christmas for meWhere the love circles around us like the gifts around our treeWell they say in L.A. it's a warm holiday, it's the only place to beA tender Tennessee Christmas, is the only Christmas for me Written by Amy Grant and Gary Chapman, the ladies of Point of Grace give this holiday ballad a nice, soft touch. "Little Town" Word We hear the Christmas angelsThe great glad tiding tidings tellOh come to us, abide with usOur Lord Emmanuel This is not "O Little Town of Bethlehem"—in fact, not even close. But it is beautiful nonetheless. Harmony that soars is the driving factor behind this Christmas song and the ladies deliver it in a big way.
