Top Versions of Mary, Did You Know by Christian Artists

"Mary, Did You Know?" has become a Christmas staple since it was first recorded in 1991. Written by Mark Lowry in 1984 after his pastor asked him to write a song for the church's Christmas program, the popular carol has since been recorded by artists from multiple genres.

From 2004's Family Christmas, this a capella version from Acappella is simple and gorgeous. The group was formed in 1982 by original lead singer Keith Lancaster. They are a member of the Christian Music Hall of Fame and have toured every continent. They continue to record and tour with new voices as well as past members joining in.

Brian's Christmas single released in 2011 and is good enough to make you wish he had released a full album of Christmas songs. He came to fame as a member of the Backstreet Boys and released a solo Christian album, "Welcome Home," in 2006.

From the 2009 compilation, You're Here, Erin's version of the popular carol offers strings and a very ethereal sound.
