Bible Verses About Accepting Christ

One of the criteria for becoming a Christian is to accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Yet, what does that mean? Those are easy words to say, but not always the easiest to act upon or understand. The best way to get a grasp on what it means is to look to the bible verses about accepting Christ. In scripture we find a comprehension about this important step in becoming a Christian:

Understanding Jesus' Importance

For some people, having a greater understanding about Jesus helps us in accepting Him as our Lord. Here are some Bible verses about Jesus to help us get to know him better:

John 3:16
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (NLT)

Acts 2:21
But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (NLT)

Acts 2:38
Peter said, “Turn back to God! Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will be given the Holy Spirit." (CEV)

John 14:6

Accepting Jesus as Lord

2 Corinthians 5:17

Revelation 3:20
